Review Process
The official language of the conference is English.
  • The review process has twofold stages;
    Abstract review (1st stage) and Full paper checking (2nd stage).
  • The 1st stage;
    Abstract review on the point whether each of papers is acceptable or not.
  • The 2nd stage;
    Full paper checking on the following points; whether the manuscript obeys to the Guideline in terms of format; whether the manuscript successfully avoids to take a position that is free from any particular advertisements from commercial, political, religious points of view.
  • The Scientific Committee determines whether the paper should be presented in an oral or a poster. There will be parallel sessions and poster sessions.
  • Special issues of selected papers from ASIM 2018 will be published in “Science and Technology for the Built Environment” or “Building Simulation”.

Best Student Paper Awards
There will be three Best Student Paper Awards in the conference. In order to compete for the Best Student Paper Awards, the first author of the paper must have been a full-time student at the time of the paper submission. If the first author is the student’s supervisor and student is the second author, the work should be done by a full-time student at the time of the paper submission under the supervisor. The student must get his/her supervisor’s support for the competition for the awards. A special session will be organized for shortlisted papers. The student must present his/her work in-person in the special session. Please download and fill in the form “Best Student Paper Award Nomination” and return it to asim2018conference@gmail.com by 30 October 2018.


Best Poster Award
There will be one Best Poster Award in the conference. All participants are welcome to vote for the Best Poster Award. Voting ballots will be distributed on registration and collected during the poster session.
