A General Agreement for Collaboration has just been signed between the Brain Korea 21 Group, Advanced Combustion and Hydrogen Energy Application Technology, Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea and the Area of Strength: Fire Safety Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to establish a framework for academic exchange and collaboration.

The Agreement was signed officially by Professor Hong-Sun Ryou, Director of Brain Korea 21 Group and Professor W.K. Chow, Acting Head of Department of Building Services Engineering; Leader of Area of Strength: Fire Safety Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 3 April 2008. Many of the BSE colleagues and fire research staff attended the signing ceremony and the tea reception afterward.
