The PolyU Consultation Day for JUPAS Applicants

The Consultation Day for JUPAS Applicants 2008 was an event which offered a final opportunity for promoting BSE programmes to the current batch of JUPAS applicants before the JUPAS deadline for changing the programme choices.  Around 30 BSE staff, technicians, research assistants, research students, graduates and full-time students participated in this event in the afternoon of 24 May 2008 (Saturday).  In order to encourage students to change their programme choices to our BSE Department, a half-day Consultation Session, two sessions of Info Seminars and a Guided Visit to BSE Laboratory were organized. 

Over 30 JUPAS students obtained personal tutoring in the Consultation Session and more than 50 JUPAS students and their parents attended both Info Seminars.  In the Info Seminars, Prof W. K. Chow, Acting Head, gave a welcoming speech to the audiences and Dr K. T. Chan, BEng Programme Leader & Associate Head, introduced our BSE programmes.  Besides, two BSE graduates, Mr. T. K. Chan and Ms Winnie Cheung, shared their study and working experience with the students.  Moreover, about 10 visitors were guided to our Laboratory and demonstrations of experiments were shown by technicians and research personnel.
