Brief

Professor Yang graduated from Tianjin University, China, completing his BSc study in 1982 and MSc study in 1995 in the same university in Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning Engineering. He received his PhD degree in Solar Energy Studies in 1993 in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Wales College of Cardiff, UK. Professor Yang joined the Building Services Engineering Department of PolyU in 1995. His research and consultancy interests are in renewable energy applications, heat and mass transfer, and building energy studies. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 technical papers including 65 international journal papers. He has published one technical book. He has completed a number of consultancy projects, mainly in renewable energy applications and building energy/HVACR system studies.
